NOTICE OF ELECTION AND NOTICE OF DATE FIXED FOR SUBMITTING ARGUMENTS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the following measure is to be voted on at the Presidential Primary Election,
to be held within the Ballico-Cressey Elementary School District, County of Merced, on Tuesday, June 7, 2016.
Polling places will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.
BALLICO CRESSEY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT BOND MEASURE
“To improve the quality of education with funding that cannot be taken by the State; repair/replace outdated
heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems; construct/modernize classrooms, restrooms and school
facilities; upgrade P.E fields and facilities for school and community use; and make health, safety and security
improvements; shall the Ballico-Cressey School District issue $6,500,000 of bonds at legal interest rates, with
annual audits, citizens’ oversight and NO money used for administrator or teacher salaries?” Bonds –
Yes/Bonds – No
NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN that not later than 5:00 p.m. on March 16, 2016, is hereby fixed as the
final date and time for the filing of arguments, not to exceed three hundred (300) words in length, in favor or
against the measure. To be eligible for printing and distribution as provided by law, any such arguments must
be received and filed with the Merced County Registrar of Voters / Elections Office, 2222 M Street, Room
14, Merced CA 95340 no later than said date and time and must be accompanied by a Statement of Accuracy,
pursuant to California Elections Code section 9600, and be signed and dated by the proponent(s) and
author(s), if different.
NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN that if an argument in favor of and an argument against the measure are
submitted, copies will be provided to the respective authors in order that they may submit a rebuttal argument
not to exceed two hundred fifty (250) words. Rebuttal arguments must be filed no later than 5:00 p.m. on
March 25, 2016, and must also be accompanied by a Statement of Accuracy, signed and dated by the
author(s).

AVISO DE ELECCIÓN Y AVISO DE FIJACIÓN DE LA FECHA PARA PRESENTAR ARGUMENTOS
POR MEDIO DEL PRESENTE SE INFORMA que la siguiente medida se someterá a voto en las Elecciones
Primarias Presidenciales que se celebrarán el martes 7 de junio de 2016 en el Distrito Escolar Primario de
Ballico-Cressey, condado de Merced. Los centros de votación estarán abiertos de 7:00 a.m. a 8:00 p.m. el
Día de las Elecciones.
MEDIDA DE BONOS DEL DISTRITO DE ESCUELAS PRIMARIAS DE BALLICO CRESSEY
“Con el propósito de mejorar la calidad de la educación con financiamiento que el Estado no pueda utilizar;
reparar o cambiar los obsoletos sistemas de calefacción, ventilación y aire acondicionado; construir o
modernizar salones de clases, baños y instalaciones escolares; actualizar los campos y las instalaciones de
educación física para que los usen la escuela y la comunidad; y realizar mejorar de salud, seguridad y
protección, ¿el Distrito Escolar de Ballico-Cressey debe emitir $6,500,000 en bonos a tasas de interés legales,
con auditorías anuales, supervisión ciudadana y SIN usar dinero para los salarios de los administradores o de
los maestros?” Bonos – Sí/Bonos – No
POR MEDIO DEL PRESENTE TAMBIÉN SE INFORMA que la fecha y la hora fijadas para presentar
argumentos es antes de las 5:00 p. m. del 16 de marzo de 2016, y que ningún argumento podrá exceder las
trescientas (300) palabras a favor o en contra de la medida. Con el fin de ser elegibles para la impresión y
distribución como se indica en la ley, dichos argumentos deben recibirse y presentarse ante la Oficina de
Elecciones del Registro Electoral del Condado de Merced, 2222 M Street, Room 14, Merced CA 95340,
antes de la fecha y la hora indicadas, y deben estar acompañados de una Declaración de Precisión, de
conformidad con la sección 9600 del Código Electoral de California, así como firmados y fechados por los
solicitantes y autores, si fueran distintos.
POR MEDIO DEL PRESENTE TAMBIÉN SE INFORMA que si se presenta un argumento a favor y un
argumento en contra de la medida, se enviarán copias a los respectivos autores con el propósito de que
puedan presentar un argumento de refutación que no exceda las doscientas cincuenta (250) palabras. Los
argumentos de refutación deben presentarse antes de las 5:00 p. m. del 25 de marzo de 2016 y también
deben estar acompañados de una Declaración de Precisión, firmada y fechada por los autores.
