Weekly Information for Parents from Ms. Perejón
Dear Parents:
Next week, we will have Early Dismissal on Tuesday at 12:30.
Wednesday, October 12 is the Fall Holiday. Classes will resume
on Thursday, October 13. As Wednesday next week will be a
holiday, the weekly information will go home on Thursday, October 13.
I am pleased to announce that PK and Kinder parents will receive access to an exciting parent and student engagement tool
called Ready Rosie to support skills development at home.
Ready Rosie provides short video clips that parents and teachers watch together with their young learners to support language
development and critical thinking. If you are interested about
learning more about Ready Rosie come to our meeting on October 13 at 8:30am.
We are sending home some information about the new partnership that the Houston Independent School District and the Houston Public Library have formed to ensure every HISD student
has access to HPL’s vast assortment of books and resources at
their public library and even online through the Learning Link.
Please take advantage of this opportunity for your child to read
more books.
Speaking of reading good books with your kids, we will have our
annual Book Character Parade on Monday, October 31 at 2:00
pm. Students MUST dress as a character from a book they have
read and bring it with them. Start thinking of what book character, your child will want to be!
The Helms Auction is this Saturday at 6:00pm. See our website

Información semanal para los padres del la Sra. Perejón
El martes de la próxima semana vamos a salir temprano a las
12:30. El miércoles 12 de octubre es la fiesta de otoño. Las clases se reanudarán el jueves 13 de octubre. Cómo el miércoles
próximo no hay escuela, la comunicación semanal se enviará a
casa el jueves 13 de octubre.
Estoy encantada de anunciarles que los padres de PK y Kinder
van a recibir acceso a una estupenda herramienta para padres y
alumnos llamada Ready Rosie para apoyar el desarrollo de destrezas en la casa. Ready Rosie proporciona videos cortos que
padres y maestros ven juntos con nuestros pequeños alumnos
para apoyar el desarrollo del lenguaje y el pensamiento crítico.
Si está interesado en aprender más acerca de Ready Rosie venga nuestra junta el 13 de octubre a las 8:30am.
Estamos enviando a casa información sobre la nueva asociación
entre el Distrito Escolar Independiente de Houston y la Biblioteca
Pública de Houston para asegurarse que todos y cada uno de
los alumnos del HISD tiene acceso al gran número de libros y
recursos tanto en la biblioteca pública como en línea a través de
Learning Link. Por favor aprovéchese de está oportunidad para
que su hijo(a) lea más libros.
Hablando de leer buenos libros con sus hijos, vamos a celebrar
nuestro desfile anual de personajes de libros de cuentos el lunes
31 de octubre a las 2:00pm. Los alumnos TIENEN que vestirse
como el personaje de un libro que han leído y traer el libro con
ellos. ¡Comiencen a pensar qué personaje de libro de cuentos,
quiere ser su hijo(a)!
La subasta de Helms es este sábado a las 6:00pm. Vaya a
nuestra página de internet para obtener más detalles. ¡Espero
