Dear Uplift Summit Parents/Guardians,
This letter goes out with the hopes that you and your scholar(s) have enjoyed the summer
break and prepared for the upcoming school year. The ViP is pleased to announce the
implementation of a ViP Enrichment Contribution. This $40.00 per scholar contribution is
aimed at bridging the funding gap between charter schools and traditional public schools which
puts our scholars at a disadvantage. For example, in Texas there is a $500 to $3,000 disparity
per pupil for those attending a charter school.
Every dollar that we raise this year through the ViP Enrichment Contribution will go to support
our scholars and their exciting academic and extracurricular endeavors this year. As you know,
budgets continue to be strained, and our scholars depend on us for help.
Supporting our scholars in every possible way ensures that they have the chance to follow their
dreams and participate in programs that inspire enthusiasm and higher learning.
The following are a list of programs and initiatives that the ViP Enrichment Contribution fund
will benefit:








Field trips
Transportation for students to off campus events
Scholar rewards and incentives
Bringing professional and motivational speakers to the school
Items for teachers/classrooms
Professional development for teacher/staff
Supporting PSIA and other academic competitions
Snacks for scholars during testing
Please join us in affirming the amazing parent organization that we are. Remember, our
scholars are our future; we as parents/guardians can only benefit from the investments that
we make in them. All payments can be made in cash/check to the front office staff. Please
know this contribution will not eliminate all cost for various events/activities, but perhaps
reduce the cost. 100% participation is our goal!

Queridos Padres de Alumnos de Summit,
Esperamos que esta informacion le llegue a usted y a su alumno(s) con la esperanza de que hayan
disfrutado de unas merecidas vacaiones de verano y ya esten listos para comenzar un semester
exitosament en Summit. La organizacion de padres VIP les desea comunicar que hemos implementado
la creacion de un fondo de enriquesimiento para nuestros alumnos. Esta cuota de $40 por alumnos
para el fondo de enriquesimiento es para ayudar a completar la gran diferencia que existe en los fondos
que la escuela recibe del estado de Texas. Por ejemplo en Texas, hay una disparidad de unos $500 a
$3000 menos por alumno en las escuelas charter.
Cada dinero que se recibe se usara para el fondo de enriquesimiento academico y actividades extra
curriculares en nuestra escuela. El presupuesto se continua reduciendo y aun la escuela hace lo
maximo con lo poco que recibe.
Apoyando a nuestros alumnos hacemos realidad las experiences academicas que inspiran y motivan a
nuestros hijos a buscar oportunidades despues de la secondaria.
Las siguientes es una lista de los programas y actividades para los cuales se utilizaran estos fondos:

Premios para los alumnos
Traer presentadores profesionales que inspiran y motivan a nuestros alumnos
Articulos para maestros y alumnos
Desarrollo professional para maestras
Apoyar competencias academicas como PSIA
Merienda para alumnos durante examines
Por favor ayudenos en afirmar la gran organizacion de padres que somos. Recuerde, nuestros hijos son
los profesionales del futuro; como padres nos beneficiaremos de la inversion que hagamos en nuestros
hijos. Todos los pagon se pueden hacer en efectivo/credit en la officina principal. El hecho de que
contribuya los $40 no implica que no hayan otros costos por viajes/eventos en la escuela, pero espermos
que sean reducidos . Esperamos una participacion de un 100%!!
