Parents and Guardians of Monett Middle School:
Beginning on November 9, 2015, Ninth Street will be closed from Scott Street to Cleveland
Street during the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The extended closure is an effort to
maximize the safety of students on the MMS and MIS Campus before and after school.
District officials will be observing traffic patterns of cars and buses during this trial period.
Before School Adjustments
In the morning, the gates will close around 7:30 a.m. (after the last bus has dropped off
students at EE Camp and passed through Ninth Street). ​
Parents should use the following
options once the gates are closed​
:
● Parents should park in the ​
new parking lot west of the MMS Campus​
. Students can be
dropped off at the lot and then walk eastbound towards the gymnasium. Cars
should enter on Eighth Street and exit onto Scott Street.
● Parents should drive northbound on Tenth Street until they reach the Intermediate
School campus. After turning left on Scott, parents should drop off students south of
EE Camp gymnasium.
● Parents should drive northbound on Ninth Street until they reach the Middle School
campus. ​
After turning left on Scott, parents should drop off students south of
campus and walk to the gymnasium.
● Parents should use the parking lot north of the white building to drop off their
student. Students may walk to the gymnasium before being dismissed at 7:50 a.m.
After School Adjustments
In order to reduce the amount of bus and car traffic, the gates will be closed until 3:30 p.m.
Parents who pick up students after school should use the following options:
● Parents may park in the new parking lot west of the MMS Campus​
. Students can be
picked up in the parking lot. Cars should enter on Eighth Street and exit onto Scott
Street.
● Parents may continue to park in the lot south of EE Camp gymnasium.
● Parents will not be able to park in the parking lot north of the white building. It will be
reserved solely for school bus transportation and handicap parking.

Comenzando el 9 de noviembre del 2015, la calle Ninth estara cerrada de la calle Scott a la
calle Cleveland durante las horas de 7:30 a.m. a 3:30 p.m. el cierre prolongado es un

la escuela y caminar hacia al gimnasio.

Padres deben usar el estacionamiento localizado cerca del edificio blanco para
despachar a los estudiantes. Los estudiantes podrán caminar hacia al gimnasio antes de
que sean despachados a las 7:50 a.m.
Ajustes para Después de Clases
Con fin de reducir el tráfico de carros y autobuses, las barreras se mantendrán cerradas
hasta las 3:30 p.m. Los padres que levantan estudiantes después de escuela deben usar las
siguientes opciones:

Los padres podrán estacionarse en el estacionamiento la oeste de la escuela MMS. Los
estudiantes pueden ser levantados en el estacionamiento. Los carros deben entrar por la
calle Eighth y salir por la calle Scott.
∙ ​
Los padres pueden continuar a estacionarse en el estacionamiento hacia al sur del
gimnasio EE Camp.
∙ Los padres no podrán estacionarse en estacionamiento así al norte del edificio blanco.
Será reservado solamente para los autobuses y el estacionamiento para discapacitados.
