PTO: • Large size • Slow response • Frequent wear • No external electronics needed PTC: • Compact dimensions • Rapid response • No wear • External electronics needed The following diagram illustrates the different electrical connection criteria applied to both types of sensor. PTC sensors always require an auxiliary trip circuit to convert variation in resistance into a command to the motor power switches. PTO sensors, on the other hand, can be connected directly to the remote electromechanical switches.
