¿Quién eres? ¿Puedes presentarte?
Hola. Me llamo Fernando Alonso y me gusta conducir coches rápidos. Tengo treinta
y uno años y nací en mil novecientos ochenta y uno el diecinuevo de julio. En mi
familia hhay mi madre, mi padre, mi hermano mayor y mi hhermana menor. Soy un
piloto de carreras, trabajo en la Fórmula Uno. Soy famoso porque me aparecío en la
televisión. Mi coche es ex dos mil trece.
¿Dónde vives?
Vivo en un apartamento en Madrid con mi familia. Vivo en el centro de España. Mi
apartamento es muy grande y es muy elejante. Hhay cuatro dormitorios en mi
apartamento. Mi cocina es muy grande y también mi dormitorio es muy elejante y
nuevo. Mi encanta mi dormitorio porque está el sitio donde me relajo.
¿Qué es un día de trabajo para ti?
Un día en mi trabajo consiste en despertarme pronto y ir al gimnasio. Normalmente,
después de ducharme, desayuno las cireales y un zzumo de naranja. Voy al garajje
y utilizzo el simulador Fórmula Uno ... y trabajó con los iguenieros y los coches.
Después vuelvo a casa, mi descanso, veo la tele y juego con los videojuegos.
¿Qué te gusta hacer en tu tiempo libre?
En mi tiempo libre mi gusta juego con los videojuegos en mis Playstation Tres
porque es muy divertido y interesante, pero odio Xbox porque no es tan divertido y el
Xbox es muy fio. Además en mi tiempo libre mi gusta relajarme porque estoy muy
cansado después de trabajar. También mi gusta ir a dar una vuelta en coche.
Normalmente ir a dar una vuelta en coche con mi familia porque mi encanta pasar
tiempo con elos.
¿Quién es tu modelo y qué has logrado en tu carrera hasta ahora?
Mi idolo es Michael Schumacher porque es el que mejor ... carreras y gano todo ... y
tengo gane muy trofios y tengo gane muy gratis coches por ejemplo mi Ferrari
Berlinetta.
¿Qué son tus planes y sueños para el futuro?
En el futuro mi gustaría continuar conducir coches rápidos. Es mi pasión y mi
gustaría permanacer en el mismo profesión ... mi gusta ... can you repeat it please?
¿Qué son tus planes y sueños para el futuro?
En el futuro mi gustaría ... mi gustaría continuar conducir coches rápidos. Es mi
pasión y mi gustaría trabajar continuar porque es mi trabajo ideal. Sin embargo,
dentro de diez años a jubilarme.
Si no fueras famoso, ¿qué harías como trabajo?
Si no fuera un piloto de carreras, pues ... mi gustaría trabajar como mecánico ya que
es muy divertido e interesante y es muy desafiante. Sería muy interesante.

Although the student is quite hesitant at times, he is still able to develop his
answers on a regular basis. He communicates a good amount of information
even though at times grammatical inaccuracy leads to a lack of clarity: me

Range and Accuracy (7 marks)
Apart from the examples mentioned under Communication, most of what he
says is clear. Most other grammatical errors are either minor or do have an
effect on understanding (mi gusta juego). The language used tends to be
quite simple, but there are some instances of more complex language and of
more unusual vocabulary: consiste en despertarme pronto; después de
ducharme; no es tan divertido; Si no fuera un piloto de carreras; desafiante.
He uses the preterite, imperfect subjunctive and conditional tenses correctly.
On balance, the performance is just worthy of the 7-8 band and he scores 7
marks.
Pronunciation and Intonation (4 marks)
The decision to be made here is as to whether the student’s pronunciation
and intonation can be deemed to be ‘generally good’, or whether there are
enough inconsistencies to make a mark of 3 more appropriate. Such
problems as the aspirated ‘h’and the pronunciation of the jota sound are
conspicuous, but generally his accent is good. The mark lies between 3 and 4
and he is given the benefit of the doubt with a mark of 4.
Interaction and Fluency (3 marks)
The delivery lacks the flow required for a mark of 4 but the conversation is
maintained in spite of occasional hesitation. It would be unfair to say that
there is ‘little natural flow of language’, because at times he speaks well. He
scores 3 marks.

¿Puedes describir tu instituto?
Mi colegio se llama Corazón Sagrado en Hammersmith. Es una de chicas con
muchos alumnos.
¿Cuáles son tus asignaturas favoritas?
Mi la estudia mi encanta la biología y la química porque son interesantes. Cuando
era joven me gustaban estos tener porque me gusta ser vetinaria.
¿Llevas uniforme y qué es tu opinión?
En el instituto tenemos iuniforme. Es una falda azul y una chaqueta. Sin embargo, en
el año once nos ponemos jjersey de color. Es de año rojo. Me gusta en el uniforme
porque es práctico.
¿Qué son las reglas en tu instituto?
El escuela es muy estrictos, por ejemplo es imposible comer chicle y tener muestros
teléfonos. Sin embargo, me gusta el profesores y lecciones.
¿Qué se podría hacer para mejorar la vida escolar?
Para meyorar la vida escolar y podría y meis actividades divertidas para aliviar el
estrés. También podrían ser muenos estrictos.
¿Qué vas a hacer en setiembre?
En setiembre in químicos y colegios estudiar biolojjiquía ... de los animales porque
muy ser vetinaria en el futuro.
¿Eres miembra de un equipo o un taller en el instituto?
Me gusta hacer deporte, así que estoy en el equipo de baloncesto femenino de la
escuela.

There is nothing untoward on the TPF apart from the conjugated verb alivia.
However, the infinitive aliviar is used by the student in the test itself.
At 3’15” the test is quite short, but the student still communicates a
reasonable amount of information and there is limited development of her
answers. There is a lack of clarity on occasion (Mi la estudia mi encanta la
biología; me gusta for me gustaría; y podría y meis actividades divertidas; En
setiembre in químicos y colegios estudiar biolojjiquía) and so she scores at
the bottom of the 5-6 band with 5 marks.
Range and Accuracy (6 marks)
There are some serious problems with accuracy, as mentioned under
Communication, but usually it is easy to understand the intended message,
even when there are inaccuracies. As well as the present tense, she also
uses the imperfect and the conditional, but the language tends to be quite
simple, apart from para aliviar el estrés and podrían ser. What she says is
easily more accurate than inaccurate, but lacks the clarity and complexity
needed for the 7-8 band. She scores 6 marks.
Pronunciation and Intonation (3 marks)
There are quite a lot of conspicuous mispronunciations (for example,
vetinaria; iuniforme; the jota sound; muestros for nuestros; muenos for
menos). Otherwise, pronunciation and intonation are generally accurate but,
because the aforementioned mistakes are present in relatively little Spanish,
she scores 3 marks rather than 4.
Interaction and Fluency (3 marks)
The student responds readily to the questions that she is asked and sustains
the conversation well. However, the responses are quite short and so she is
unable to achieve the flow of language that would be needed for 4 marks. She
is awarded a mark of 3.

¿Adónde vas de vacaciones y por qué?
Normalmente ir de vacaciones con mi familia una vez al año durante el verano.
Cuando digo ‘mi familia’, refiero a mi madre, mi padre y mi hermana mayor. En
general visitamos ciudades y pueblos en el norte de Inglaterra, tal como Kendal y
Keswick. Vamos ahí porque a mis padres les gusta visitar lugares de belleza natural
y dar paseos en el campo. Normalmente conduzco yo porque ni a mi madre ni a mi
hermana les gusta conducir durante viajes largos y también porque mi padre no
tiene el pacente. No me molesta conducir durante nuestras vacaciones pero a veces
nos perdemos y acabamos discutiendo. Me gusta pasar tiempo con mi familia
porque nos llévamos bien y tenemos un sentido de humor el mismo, pero en mi
opinión los tipos de vacaciones que eligen mis padres son bastante aburridos.
Prefiero ir de vacaciones a los países donde el clima es más cálido porque me gusta
leer el nadar en el sol, e Inglaterra es demasiado frío para hacer este tipos de
actividades.
¿Adónde fuiste de vacaciones el año pasado?
El año pasado pasé una semana con mi familia en Lancaster. Alojamos en un hotel
de cuatro estrellas en habitaciones grandes con en suite y vistas del castillo de
Lancaster. El personal fueron muy agradable y el hotel entero fue muy moderno y
limpio y fue bastante barato también. Viajamos en tren porque miramos en el
Internet y los billetes fueron más baratos que la gasolina necesitaríamos si viajamos
en coche.
¿Qué hiciste durante las vacaciones?
Mientras estuvieron hacemos muchas cosas juntas. Visitamos edificios importantes y
lugares de patrimonio nacional, por ejemplo Lancaster Castle y Parque Williamson y
así como iglesias pintorescas y museos interesantes. También dimos paseos por los
lagos magníficos y sácamos muchas fotos de las vistas bonitas. Y algo más que
hacemos era ir de compras pero, cuando llegamos al final de la tarde, mi padre y yo
nos aburrimos y preferimos estar en el pub con las bolsas hasta que las mujeres
hayan terminado con su pasatiempo favorito. Me devertí en Lancaster pero perdí mi
teléfono durante un paseo después de solo tres días allí y por lo tanto no pude
charlar con mis amigos durante el resto de mi vacación. ¡Qué pesadilla!
Y, ¿tienes planes para el año que viene? ¿Adónde vas?
El verano que viene voy a ir a Ayia Napa con mis amigos. Iremos para dos semanas
y no puedo esperar. Vamos a viajar con Ryan Air hacia y desde Chipre, simplemente
porque venden los vuelos más baratos. Vamos a alquilar un apartamento cerca de
los clubs y durante los días ahí espero que pueda ir y visitar ciudades tal como
Nicosia y Limassol porque tengo amigos que viven ahí.
¿Prefieres quedarte en un hotel o un apartamento y por qué?
Durante mis vacaciones prefiero quedarme en un apartamento porque me encanta
salir y comer en los restaurantes de la región, y también para mí pienso que es
posible para alquilar un apartamento muy bueno por menos dinero que el precio de
un hotel del mismo calidad.
¿Cuál sería tu lugar ideal a pasar las vacaciones y por qué?
Mi destinación ideal sería una ila carebion. Quisiera ir a St Lucia si tuviera el dinero.
¿Por qué?
Porque me gusta relajar en las playas blancas y hay muchas ahí.

Communication (10 marks)
There is no problem with the TPF, which contains the maximum 40 words and
no conjugated verbs.
This is clearly a capable student and he develops his answers to all questions
very well indeed, in the maximum six minutes allowed. The unpredictable
question asked does not appear on the list. However, it is clearly a question
which is unrelated to the last prepared bullet point and so it is considered to
be the unpredictable question and it is deemed to have been accomplished.
The Feedback Form would then have a comment pointing out that all
unpredictable questions asked should be on the list submitted to the
moderator. The student easily scores 10 marks.
Range and Accuracy (10 marks)
The mark is definitely in the top band. He uses five tenses successfully, but
he makes errors, some of them more serious ones (ir for vamos; el pacente
for la paciencia; el nadar en el sol; estuvieron for estábamos; hacemos for
hicimos). However, his range of language is excellent: Cuando digo ‘mi
familia’, refiero a mi madre, mi padre y mi hermana mayor; a mis padres les
gusta visitar lugares de belleza natural y dar paseos en el campo;
Normalmente conduzco yo porque ni a mi madre ni a mi hermana les gusta
conducir; lugares de patrimonio nacional; espero que pueda ir. The mark here
sometimes has to be a ‘best fit’ mark over the two strands of range of
language and of accuracy. The student scores full marks because the
excellence of the range of language outweighs the errors that he makes. He
scores 10 marks.
Pronunciation and Intonation (5 marks)
There are only a few mispronunciations, the worst of which is the attempt at
isla caribeña, but the student says a lot which is pronounced consistently
well, so he scores the full 5 marks.
Interaction and Fluency (5 marks)
He responds readily and shows initiative by developing his answers in
considerable detail, and there is a fair degree of fluency in his delivery. He
easily scores 5 marks.

Háblame de tu colegio.
Mi colegio que se llama Kineton está en el centro de Inglaterra en un pueblo. Es
lejos de Londres pero está bastante cerca de Birmingham. ¡Qué útil! Por un lado
tengo suerte porque mi instituto no esta demasiado cerca de mi colegio, de mi casa,
sorry, así que no tengo que ir a pie todos los días. Vivía más cerca de mi colegio, por
eso iría a pie. Por otro lado, es tan molesto porque el aútobus llega muy temprano
así que tengo que levantarse temprano siempre. Un día iba caminando al insti y mis
libros se mojaron en la lluvia porque el aútobus llegó tarde. ¡Qué mal! Mi colegio es
mixto y es bastante grande en cuanto al numero de alumnos. Sin embargo, está
formado por edificios pequeños, por ejemplo un gimnasio, una piscina climtizado
donde se puede nadar en el verano, pero no me gusta nada nadar, y fainalmente
muchas aulas que son aburridas porque los colores de las paredes no son
interesantes.
¿Cómo es tu uniforme escolar?
Es muy molesto porque nuestro uniforme es tan fere. Lo odio especialmente porque
es incómodo también. Tenemos que llevar unos pantalones negros, que son
aburridos pero prácticos, un jersey negro, una chaqueta negra y fainalmente, el peor,
una corbata de rayas. Pienso que la corbata es estúpida porque soy una chica y en
unas oficinas las chicas no tienen que llevar las corbatas. Si pudiera, llevaría mi
propia ropa, como unos vaqueros y una camiseta.
¿Cuáles son tus asignaturas preferidas?
Mi asignatura preferida es inglés porque para mí es facil y en mi tiempo libre me
encanta leer muchos libros. Mientras de que matemáticas son más dificiles que
inglés y los numeros me miedo. También en el futuro espero tener un trabajo que
consiste de idiomas sin numeros.
¿Cómo era tu escuela primaria?
Mi escuela praimaria era más pequeña que mi instituto ahora, como había menos
alumnos. También mi insti actual tiene una biblioteca que es importante para mis
estudias. Lo pior es que, cuando era pequeña, tenía más tiempo libre pero aiora
estoy muy estresada, en particular porque tengo más exámenes y hay más
asignaturas.
¿Cuáles son tus planes para el futuro?
El año que viene voy a estudiar en el mismo colegio para dos años más. Estudiaré
cuatro asignaturas que inclue español y inglés ... Espero tener buenas notas en los
exámenes en mi año segundo y, si hago, iré a una univérsidad porque sería una
experiencia útil porque tengo la intención a encontrar un trabajo después de mis
estudios.
Si fueras directora, ¿qué cambiarías de tu colegio?
Si fuera la directora de mi instituto, cambiaría las horas de la día porque son
demasiado largas porque tenemos muchos deberes también. Además, creo que a
los alumnos se debe ser permitir su propia ropa y un poco de maquillaje y joyas
porque ¿por qué no?
¿Cuál es tu opinión de ir a un colegio mixto?
Pienso que es una aidia muy bueno porque hay más varáidad.

question. The student develops all of her answers well and would have scored

There are a few serious errors (tengo que levantarse; a los alumnos se debe
ser permitir su propia ropa; numeros me miedo) and some minor ones, but
her range of language is very good (Un día iba caminando al insti y mis libros
se mojaron en la lluvia; Si pudiera, llevaría mi propia ropa; espero tener un
trabajo; Si fuera la directora de mi instituto, cambiaría las horas). This mark is
for two different strands of language and it could be considered that, while the
range of language is worthy of 10 marks, the accuracy is more like 8. On
balance she therefore gets 9 marks.
Pronunciation and Intonation (3 marks)
As mentioned under Communication, her pronunciation and intonation are at
times poor. Her vowel sounds are anglicised for most of the conversation and
the stress is incorrect in words such as autobús, fácil, difíciles and número.
The mark is between 2 and 3 and she just gets a mark of 3.
Interaction and Fluency (5 marks)
She responds readily and develops her answers well with some fluency. She
is awarded the full 5 marks.

The student communicates very little and just about manages to give one
opinion, although even this is unclear. There is a little development in her
response to the first question, she gives one piece of information in her reply
to the second one but after that she communicates nothing with any clarity.
She just scores 2 marks.
Range and Accuracy (2 marks)
Her answer to the first question is her best one and she produces three
sentences, despite errors of grammar and/or pronunciation. In the second
response she just forms one inaccurate sentence and from that point there is
no language of any merit. The mark is in the 1-2 band and, for the slightly
better quality of her language in the first and, to a lesser extent, second
replies, she scores 2 marks.
Pronunciation and Intonation (2 marks)
The pronunciation of individual words is generally understandable, despite
serious errors such as luns for lunes; expensiosa for experiencia; correso
electronisio. She scores 2 marks.
Interaction and Fluency (1 marks)
Her delivery is very hesitant and disjointed, and the flow of the conversation is
broken further by the fact that she cannot answer the last two questions at all.
She is awarded 1 mark.
