¿Qué opinas de tu dieta?
Para mí es importante comer y beber cosas sanas porque quiero mantenerme en
forma. Normalmente para el desayuno tomo ciriales con leche. Ayer no desayuné
porque no tuve hambre. Para el almuerzo como un bocadillo con queso y un yogur.
Para la noche como con mi familia. Comemos carne y frecuentamente el pescado
porque es preferible para la salud y lo contiene proteínas. El sábado próximo iremos
al restaurante porque vamos a celebrar el cumpleaños de mi madre. Voy a comer
pizza.
Háblame un poco de los deportes que practicas.
Personalmente soy muy deportista. Nado una vez a la semana porque es bueno
para mi salud. He nadado desde que tenía cinco años. Cuando tenía diezz años
practicaba más natación pero ahora no tengo tiempo porque tengo demasiados
deberes. El sábado próximo tomaré parte en un torneo. También hago mucho
ciclismo y mis padres me compraron una bici por la Navidad. El sábado pásado mis
amigas y yo fuimos en bicicleta y la pasamos bomba. Sin embargo el entremaiento
para este deporte es muy duro y por lo tanto mis amigas y yo vamos al gimnasio dos
veces a la semana como mínimo. Aunque me gustan los deportes, odio el fútbol. No
soy muy habilidosa. Si fuera parte del ekwipo nunca nadería un gol.
¿Qué piensas de las drogas y del alcohol?
Desafortunadamente la verdad es que los drogas son terribles para la salud. Son
más adictivas que el alcohol. Lo malo es que cientos de miles de personas mueran
al año de forma prematura. También el alcohol cosa muchas problemas para la
sóciedad, sobre todo los adolescentes. Mi primo era un alcohólico. Se
emborrachaba todos los días, pero ahora está intentando estar sobrio.
¿Cómo podrías mejorar tu salud en el futuro?

En el futuro me encantaría sigüir una dieta de adelgazamiento porque estoy harta de
mi exceso de peso. Comería muchas frutas porque la alimentación juega una parte
importante en la prevención de enfermedades. También me gustaría aprender a
padinar sobre hielo porque el sábado pásado mis amigas y yo patinamos sobre
hhelo y fue fenomenal. Sin embargo no hay una pistas cerca. Si viviera más
cercanos, iriamos todos los sábados. El domingo próximo vamos a patinar sobre
hielo.
¿Cómo era diferente tu estilo de vida cuando eras más joven?
Cuando era pequeña, solía ser vejjetariana, dijo de otro modo no comía carne.
Había sido vejjetariana por cuatro años. Lo encontraba que la dieta no era, era muy
dificil y que sepa yo no era muy variada. También mis amigas y yo jugábamos al
tenis. Pensaba que era muy divertido pero ahora creo que es aburrido. Mis amigas
continúanan jugar al tenis. Han jugado tenis desde que tenían ocho años.
¿Te gusta beber la limonada o la coca cola?
Aunque la limonada es mala por la salud, me gusta beber la limonada porque me
gusta la sabor.

¿Cómo es tu zona?
Valer, vivo en piso. Mi piso está en Gipsy Hill en Londres. En mi área hay muchas
coras para hacer, por ejemplo hay muchas tiendas y muchas restaurantes. Sin
embargo, en mi área no hay muchas parques. Antes mi área era muy aburrido
porque no había muchas tiendas y restaurantes. En mi opinión mi área es muy
bueno pero podría ser mejor.
¿Qué problemas de medio ambiente hay en tu zona?
En mi área hay mucho tráfico. En mi opinión es terrible. Mi área es muy tranquila
porque no hay muchas rido. Como ya he dicho, hay muchas tráfico en le eria que
contaminada la medio ambiente.
¿Cuál es la solución para este problema?
Vamos a ver. Deberíamos cambier el productos de icológica y como la energía solar
y lo energía iológica y no se puede iusar de coches en centro de Londres porque
que contaminada la medio ambiente y no se debe tirar la basura en calles.
En tu opinión, ¿eres respetuosa con el medio ambiente?
En mi opinión, el medio ambiente no es importante ... no compro productos de
icológicas porque son muy demasiado caros y ...
¿Qué hiciste recientemente para cuidar del medio ambiente?
Iuso de transporte de público que ... es bueno y iuso productos de icologista.

No reciclo.

Communication (10 marks)
The student answers the prepared bullet points extremely well, developing each
answer fully and speaking confidently. The response to the unpredictable question is
much shorter but this is to be expected and it does not prevent her from getting full
marks for Communication. This will be typical of many good students.
Range and Accuracy (10 marks)
At GCSE level the range of the language used is excellent. She uses 8 tenses
correctly and is able to produce more complex and varied language, for example: por
lo tanto mis amigas y yo vamos al gimnasio dos veces a la semana como mínimo;
está intentando estar sobrio; estoy harta de mi exceso de peso. There are a few
inaccuracies but not enough to prevent her from getting full marks.
Pronunciation and Intonation (5 marks)
This is the most problematic category as far as the award of a mark goes, as a
decision has to be made whether to give 4 or 5 marks – ‘consistently good’ or
‘generally good’? The worst examples of poor pronunciation or intonation are
pásado; entremaiento; vejjetariana, among others. However, her vowel sounds are
consistently accurate and she is for the most part convincing which means that she
just gets 5 marks.
Interaction and Fluency (5 marks)
There are one or two occasions where she has very slight pauses, one of which is in
the unpredictable question where we can expect some pause for thought as it has
not been prepared in advance. This is still easily a mark of 5 as the criteria for this
mark are clearly met: ‘a reasonable speed’ means a steady pace like we have here,
and not native speaker speed.

Communication (1 mark)
Serious inaccuracies and very poor pronunciation are so widespread that the student
communicates very little indeed. Her attempts at development usually fail because of
this but we can just make out enough in her response to questions connected to, for
instance, bullet points 1 and 4 to make out some development. This is a good
example of a task where problems with grammatical accuracy and poor
pronunciation seriously affect the mark for Communication and she scores 1 mark.
Range and Accuracy (1 mark)
Because a mark has been awarded for Communication, we have to give at least one
mark in all other categories. The criteria for the 1-2 band suit this student very well
and because of the difficulty we have understanding almost everything she tries to
say, the lower mark is given.
Pronunciation and Intonation (1 mark)
As already stated, there are very serious problems with pronunciation and what she
says is ‘barely understandable, making comprehension difficult’.
Interaction and Fluency (1 mark)
She has difficulty answering many questions and this means that what she says is
‘very hesitant and disjointed’, and as a result she scores 1 mark.

Mi leva muy bien con mis padres, parezco a mi padre. Lo mejjor kwe es muy

Communication (7 marks)
The student does not seem at all confident but this should not disguise the fact that
he is able to give a good amount of information and to develop his answers well,
despite some lack of clarity caused by poor pronunciation. The only time that there is
no development is in his reply to the unpredictable question. It is a performance that
just makes it into the 7-8 band.
Range and Accuracy (6 marks)
The language used is generally simple and he is able to use 3 tenses correctly. He
can form longer sentences by using linking words such as y, porque and donde but
he does make some serious errors during the task (Mi leva muy bien con mis
padres; porque una personalidad agrádabl; pienso que a mi hermano). What he
says is more accurate than inaccurate but sometimes the message is not clear and
so he scores 6 marks.
Pronunciation and Intonation (2 marks)
He has a particular problem with the jota sound and also with the pronunciation of
qu. He also mispronounces vowel sounds, especially the long a in castarno and
garné. This means that ‘comprehension is sometimes delayed’, but it would be going
too far to say that he is ‘barely understandable’, and so he is awarded 2 marks.
Interaction and Fluency (3 marks)
His delivery is quite laboured at times and there is quite a lot of hesitation in the
unpredictable question, but he does sustain the conversation quite well and does
show some initiative. We cannot go as high as 4 marks because there is no real ‘flow
of language’ and so he gets 3 marks.

¿Qué piensas de tu nueva escuela y por qué?
Creo que mi nueva escuela es moderna y hermosa. Me gusta porque todos los otros
profesores son amistosos y agradables y los alumnos son trabajadores, que es
bueno, y la jornada escolar es corto y hay muchos recreos.
¿Qué instalaciones hay y qué piensas de ellas?
Hay muchos instalaciones en mi nueva colegio. Hay campos del deportivos, un
gimnasio, una piscina, un pateo, laboratorios de ciencias y son buenas condiciones
y muy modernas.
¿Qué diferencias hay entre esta escuela y la anterior?
Mi última escuela era mucho más pequeña que mi nueva escuela y hay más
alumnos ahí, y la jornada escolar era más larga en mi última escuela y mi última
escuela era mixta mientras mi nueva escuela no lo era.
¿Qué piensas de tu uniforme y de las normas y por qué?
En mi opinión el uniforme está bien y es obligatorio y los estudiantes tienen que
iusar una camisa blanca, un pantalón nigro y una corbata, y las reglas son normales
pero hay muchos. Los alumnos no se deben hablar en clase y masticar chicle en
clase. Personalmente no llevaría el uniforme. Y tú, ¿te gusta el iuniforme?
Yo lo llevo porque creo que es práctico. Si fueras tú director, ¿qué
cambiarías?
Si yo fuera director, cambiar algunas cosas. Primero, mi gustaría que el día escolar
fuera más corto y no habría uniforme. Y además me encantaría poner más el
deporte en el calendario. Sin embargo la escuela acchual es muy organizzado y
tengo la impresión de que los alumnos les gustan.

En mi vacaciones escolares normalamente voy a la España ir a la playa y con mi
familia y normalamente ...

Communication (7 marks)
The student develops responses in all bullet points and he gives opinions
throughout. He certainly gives ‘a good amount of information’ which is needed to
score in the 7-8 band and he lacks the confidence necessary for the top band. At
4’20” the task is at the lower end of the recommended 4-6 minutes and, as his pace
of delivery is steady rather than fluent, he scores 7 marks.
Range and Accuracy (8 marks)
He uses 3 verb tenses correctly and there is a nice range of vocabulary in the
conversation. The language used is fairly straightforward but there are attempts at
more complex structures even if they sometimes contain errors: mientras mi nueva
escuela no lo era; Si yo fuera director; mi gustaría que el día escolar fuera más corto
y no habría uniforme. Grammatical errors are usually minor in nature and they don’t
affect communication, although there are a few more serious ones: Si yo fuera
director, cambiar algunas cosas; el tiempo es hace calor. He scores 8 marks.
Pronunciation and Intonation (4 marks)
There are a few mispronunciations that stand out (pateo for patio; nigro for negro;
acchual for actual; the ‘u’ sound) but his pronunciation is generally good and he just
scores 3 marks.
Interaction and Fluency (3 marks)
As previously mentioned, his delivery is steady as opposed to flowing but he does
show initiative in the development of his answers. If half marks were possible he
would score 3½, which was also the case with Pronunciation and Intonation. The
mark erred on the side of generosity there and so here 3 marks are awarded.

The student is able to communicate some information in response to most questions,
even though poor pronunciation and grammatical inaccuracies make comprehension
difficult at times. She does develop, at a basic level, her answers to several of the
bullet points and she is able to give some opinions. Because it is hard to follow what
she says at times, she scores 4 marks rather than 5.
Range and Accuracy (4 marks)
Most of the language she uses is in short sentences (although los nivels del mar
están subiendo is more complex) but there are frequent errors, some of them making
what is said incomprehensible: El problemas en mi rijjon encienderías cu vijjan el
fuego a las casas; El futuro del planeta apró; personas necesario di). It is a fine
decision as to whether the language is more accurate than inaccurate, but in this
case, bearing in mind that little is said, it is deemed not to be and she scores 4.
Pronunciation and Intonation (2 marks)
Her poor pronunciation often needs an effort of concentration to understand what is
being said: rijjon; pecina; claima; kwesería; enersío; risaiclaje. It would be harsh to
say that the pronunciation is ‘barely understandable’ and she is awarded 2 marks.
Interaction and Fluency (2 marks)
The criteria for 2 marks sum up this student’s performance well because she is
‘sometimes hesitant’ and there is ‘little natural flow of language’. An inability to
answer a question at the first attempt on two occasions contributes to this lack of
flow.
