NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
AGENDA
1.
Call to Order.
Pursuant to Chapter 552 of the Texas Government Code, notice is hereby
given that the Commissioners Court of Fort Bend County, Texas will now
convene in special session to receive public comment on redistricting of
County Election, Justice of the Peace and Commissioners Court Precincts.
Following the public hearings, the Commissioners Court will take up for
consideration and possible action one or more alternative plans for the
redistricting of County Commissioners Court precincts. The Court reserves
the right to take any and all appropriate action regarding the redistricting of
Fort Bend County political boundaries, including the acceptance of new
boundaries for the Commissioners Court precincts, modification of any
boundaries, and/or tabling the pending proposals for later consideration
and/or action.

Robert T. Bass, Attorney with Allison Bass, LLP will present the proposed
plans for Redistricting of political boundaries within Fort Bend County.
3.
Receive Public Comments.
The Public is invited to attend and participate in these meetings. Those
wishing to address the Court should sign a speakers request form provided
for this purpose. Each speaker will be asked to come before the Court, to
identify themselves, their address, and the Commissioners Court precinct and
Election Precinct they reside within. Comments should be reasonably concise
and to the point. Questions will be answered, but the Court will not permit
argument or excessive discussion of any particular topic. The hearing will be
conducted under rules of judicial decorum. A video recording will be made of
this hearing. Your written comments will be included with the submission of
the proposed changes to existing Commissioners Court precincts to the
United States Department of Justice.

Adjournment.
In the event any of the foregoing items are not covered in the time allocated on the date of this
agenda, the County may order a continuance for the next day until the discussion is completed
on all items.

PROGRAMA

Llame al Orden.
En cumplimiento con el Capitulo 552 del Codigo de Gobiemo de Texas, por
medio de la presente se da Aviso de que la Corte de Comisionados del
Condado de Fort Bend se reunira en sesion especial para recibir comentarios
del publico sobre la nueva delimitacion de precintos electorales, de Juez de
Paz y de la Corte de Comisionados. Seguido de la audiencia publica, la Corte
de Comisionados pondra a consideracion y posible accion uno o mas planes
alternatives para la nueva delimitacion de los precintos de la Corte de
Comisionados del Condado. La Corte se reserva el derecho de tomar toda y
cualquier accion apropiada con respecto a la nueva delimitacion de la
division polftica del Condado de Fort Bend, incluyendo la aceptacion de
nuevos Kmites para los precintos de la Corte de Comisionados, la
modification de cualquier Ifmite, y/o posponer las propuestas pendientes
para su posterior consideracion y/o accion.
2.
Robert T. Bass, Abogado con Allison Bass, LLP presentara los planes
propuestos para redistritacion de fronteras politicas en el Condado de Fort
Bend.
3.
Recibir Comentarios Publicos.
Se invita al publico a asistir y participar en esta asamblea. Las personas que
deseen dirigirse a la Corte deberan firmar un formulario de solicitud para
oradores que se proporciona para este fin. A cada orador se le pedira
presentarse ante la Corte, identificarse, dar su direction y el precinto de la
Corte de Comisionados y Precinto Electoral al que pertenecen. Los
comentarios deberan ser razonablemente concisos y al punto. Las preguntas
seran contestadas, pero la Corte no permitira controversias ni discusiones
excesivas de un tema en particular. La audiencia se llevara a cabo bajo las
reglas del decoro judicial. Se hara una grabacion de video de la audiencia.
Sus observaciones por escrito se incluyen con la presentation de los

cambios propuestos a los existentes precintos de Corte de Comisionadoss
para el Departamento de Justica de Estados Unidos.

Aplazamiento.
En caso alguno de los elementos que preceden no estan cubiertos en el tiempo asignado en la
fecha de este programa, el condado puede ordenar una continuidad para el dfa siguiente hasta
que se complete la discusion sobre todos los temas..
