The radio frequency link establishes a connection with the switching systems of a mobile telephone operator, which provides access to the public switched telephone network (PSTN). Most modern mobile phone services use a cellular network or mobile network architecture and therefore mobile phones are often called cellular phones, especially in Latin America. With the evolution from analog to digital cellular technology, other functions were included, such as: text messages (SMS), MMS, short-range wireless communications (infrared, Bluetooth), video games, digital camera, Internet access, among others. There is no denying the fact that mobile phones are useful devices. They help us in our daily lives in various ways, making it easy and convenient. But, mobile phones are a boon until they are used for useful purposes only. Using them beyond a certain limit, even when there is no need, is not a use, but an abuse. Mobile phones can be used for various purposes, such as voice communication, sending emails, sending text messages, surfing the Internet, and taking photos. Nowadays, smartphones have better computing capabilities and have many advanced features like: realtime video chat, interactive voice response, document manager, social media, high-resolution camera, music player, location finder, etc. Communication with our loved ones, friends or colleagues has become a matter of seconds due to mobile phones. You just need to dial the other person's number from his/her phone and wait until he/she answers. Today's mobile phones have become so useful that they have actually replaced the use of laptops and other larger gadgets. Today, people send emails, surf the Internet, manage social media accounts, present power point presentations, perform calculations, and much more using their smartphones. Excessive and unnecessary use of a mobile phone leads to its abuse. Even talking for long periods of time on mobile phones about trivial and insignificant topics is also a type of abuse. Doctors have repeatedly warned that the continuous and excessive use of mobile phones is detrimental to health. Other abuse of mobile phones includes listening to loud music. Mobile phones are practical and easy to carry in pockets. Some young people today have taken this entertaining capability of mobile phones to a new level of abuse. Drive or walk on busy roads, listening to loud music, wearing earplugs; unable to hear an approaching vehicle and respond in time, resulting in accidents. Conclusion Without a doubt that mobile phones are useful and necessary devices for our daily lives. Without mobile phones, life would be more difficult, both personally and professionally. But, despite the uses that mobile phones have in our daily lives, we must also be aware of their abuses. Mobile phones could have health and safety consequences when not used properly. Moderately occupy cell phones for the well-being of the user and get the most out of these devices.
