Let’s say a prayer for those who
died on that day and pray for
peace in our world.
Oremos por todas las personas
que murieron en ese día y oremos
por paz en nuestro mundo.
Doors and Lights News
The fundraising effort to replace exterior
doors and the current lighting in the church
continues. Five very old doors were replaced earlier this
year. New light fixtures in the church will reduce the electric bill, will be easier to maintain and will create a more
intimate worship space.
Improvements and basic maintenance to your church can
only be accomplished with your support.
The cost of these projects is $40,000. A $100 donation
per family, payable over 3 months, is being asked. Envelopes can be found in the narthex and lobby. Thank you
for your support.
Donations received last week : $185.00
Total received: $17,710
Puertas y Luces
Total recaudado: $17,710

FAMILY
FUTURE
Meet our Staff: Mrs. Monica Benes; Office Administrator
Mrs. Benes' and her husband Joe were blessed to have 3 children, but she feels as though she has
hundreds after working with all the children over the years at both St. Joseph's and now Holy Family.
All 3 of their children attended St. Joseph in Addison. When they started school, Benes began to volunteer her time. She was on the Parent Club, School Board and was a lunch mom. Then an opening
became available for the position of Preschool Aide. For 5 years, Benes was the aide working with 3and 4-year-olds. In 1996, she became the school secretary and has stayed on after the school name
became Holy Family, which Benes says she knew that was the right name because she says, "We are a
family." She loves watching the children from Preschool through 8th grade grow in confidence, academically and spiritually, not to mention heights taller than her. She says their smiles are contagious,
and they are the reason that she loves her job. Benes holds a bachelor's degree in business from Illinois State University. In her spare time, she enjoys watching sporting events and reading.
Holy Family Catholic School Mission Statement
Holy Family Catholic School is a diverse community working together as a vital part of the mission of the
Catholic Church. We strive to grow in our relationship with God and each other by proclaiming the Good
News of Jesus Christ through religious instruction, faith development, and academic excellence.
