Sustainable buildings for Mexico city Abstract The proposal aims to identify the state of technology in materials for coating houses and energy equipment in order to promote the application of the principles of sustainable construction in new building projects in Mexico City The project will define viable green building practices applicable to new construction projects in Mexico City. They developed the art of green building technologies, ie energy efficient materials in the building coating and energy equipment (lamps, air conditioning and heating) that represent a great opportunity to reduce emissions for greenhouse gases from the energy consumption of buildings. The main results of the project will identify technologies in construction materials and equipment bound energy, and the proposal of sustainable construction principles applicable to new construction projects in Mexico City. The main actions to be undertaken in the research will focus on establishing green building codes and their impact on reducing emissions of greenhouse gases, specifying in the vicinity of Mexico City, identify energy efficiency technologies in materials construction of roof slabs and exterior walls, as well as energy-efficient windows, and set energy efficiency of buildings energy equipment such as lighting, air conditioning and heating.
