Religious Education Registration 2016-2017
Parish School of Religion and First Reconciliation/First Communion Preparation
Registration for students in 1st-11th grades will be held on
Sunday, August 14, 2016 and Sunday, August 21, 2016
from 8:30 am-9:45 am in Vosbein Hall. All current and
new students must register. If your child is a new student
you must have a copy of his/her Baptismal Certificate and
Certificates for any other Sacraments received. Classes are
held on Sunday mornings from 8:30-9:45 am concluding
with 10 am Mass. We provide an opportunity for children
with special needs and challenges to gather together in a ”Church” setting to learn on their
own level about their Catholic Faith. For more information, please contact Mickie Morris at
the Parish Center, 887-7821. For High School Aged Students (8th—12th grades) registration and a parents meeting will be on August 28 following the 5pm Mass in the Church.
Confirmation
High school juniors (11th grade) wishing to receive the Sacrament of
Confirmation at St. Clement during the Spring of 2017 are invited to
register now through Friday, September 16, 2016. Those students
who are not in Catholic school must attend Parish School of
Religion classes for 2 years prior to receiving the sacrament of
Confirmation. More information on the Confirmation program,
including a schedule, requirements, and registration material are
available in our church foyers, the Parish Center, and on our church
website. For more information, please contact Claire Gallagher at the Parish Center,
887-7821.
Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)
Persons interested in joining the Catholic Church or baptized Catholics
wanting to complete their initiation (with Eucharist and/or
Confirmation) are invited to fill out an RCIA registration form in order to
receive more information about the process. Sessions will be held on
Wednesdays at 7:00 pm, beginning September 7, 2016. If anyone knows
someone who may be interested in looking into the Catholic faith, please
invite him or her to fill out a form or contact the Parish Center. This program is open to everyone. All that is required is a desire to learn more about the Catholic faith and an openness to
hear God's call in one's life. Forms can be found in our church foyers, at the
Parish Center, and on our church website. For more information, please contact Mickie Morris at the Parish Center, 887-7821.

SAFE ENVIRONMENT
Anyone volunteering in activities involving
children through the church or school must attend a
Safe Environment Training Session and enroll on
the Archdiocese of New Orleans website before
they can volunteer in any capacity at any event.
St. Clement will be offering a training session on
August 4 at 7:00 PM in our church.
Living Stewardship Now
Wealthy or not, there are many ways to share
God’s blessings:
Give away gently-used clothes and household items
to local charities.
Buy locally and support businesses in your neighborhood.
Resist advertising; buy only as much as you need.
Spend time with family and friends.
Share non-perishable food with local food banks.
Support your parish and good causes with your time
and skills.
Turn off the TV and try biking, hiking, fishing,
reading, or just take a walk.
Be good to the earth: Reduce waste, recycle, plant a
garden.

The best way of supporting our

HORA SANTA
domésticos a algún lugar benéfico.
