The Colombian superstar is promoting his latest single entitled “La Bicicleta” ft. Shakira in the top 5
on Billboard's Hot Latin Songs chart.
CASA DE CAMPO LA ROMANA. One of the most beloved stars of Latin Music, Colombian singersongwriter Carlos Vives, will be performing “La Fiesta de Todos” on Saturday, September 17th at the
Amphitheatre in Altos de Chavon as part of the Casa de Campo’s Summer Music Program, sponsored
by Brugal, Orange and Banco del Progress–American Express.
Recently, Carlos Alberto Vives Restrepo, the artist’s full name, released his single “La Bicicleta”
featuring his fellow compatriot Shakira and whose official remix was already announced with fellow
Colombian performer, Maluma.
His most recent albums entitled Corazón Profundo and Más Corazon Profundo have been #1 in Latin
America and won major awards at the Grammy Awards, the Latin Grammys, Billboard and Premios
Lo Nuestro, among others. Vives holds the record for the most nominations at the Latin Grammy
Awards, has taken home nine of these statuettes, and two at the English language Grammy Awards.
His most recent hits “Volví a Nacer,” “Como Le Gusta a Tu Cuerpo” featuring Michel Teló, “El Mar De
Sus Ojos” featuring Chocquibtown and “Cuando Nos Volvamos a Encontrar” featuring Marc Anthony,
have all made it to the #1 spot on Billboard’s Latin Chart in the US and have become International
hymns.
Carlos Vives’ extraordinary fusion of rock, ballads, vallenato and ethnic music promises to please his
Dominican fans that are anxiously awaiting to turn the Altos de Chavón Amphitheater into the great
party of the summer.
In February of this year, he received a Premio Lo Nuestro award for Excellence. Vives has also served
as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for his commitment to children and society. He participated in the
concert for Peace without Borders and was invited to join the 2012 United States Navy’s Continuing
Promise mission.
