As I read the story, think about all the animals and what color they were. Read the story These are all the animals in the story. Each has a different color. Place pictures and colors randomly on the chart. Then tell students they are going to practice talking about what they saw in the story. Model with the group on thinking about what did they see in the book? Have the practice the question/answer to be used in the discussion. What do I see? I see a red bird.
