I am standing for election as Executive Member of IFSW-Europe (2 years). I would be very
grateful for your vote.
Since 2006, I represent the Spanish General Council of Social Work (SCSW) at IFSW and
have actively collaborated in different initiatives—facilitating workshops, submitting best
practices, organizing a Delegate Meetings. Since 2015, I am an executive member, which
has allowed me to know deeper the structure of IFSW Europe.
As executive member I would like keep contributing with my experience achieved at the
SCSW since 1986, first as General Secretary and currently as President, as well as with my
experience working in national networks, my ability for problem resolution, my strategic
planning capabilities and my positive attitude against challenges. I count with the support
of my organization to submit this new nomination and to solve the language barrier.
My project for this new period is to continue working to implement the work programme.
In particular, I would highlight the large involving of IFSW-Europe in several European
networks—European Commission , European Social Platform, ENSACT, EAPN, FRA,
EURODIS, EUROCHILD
I would like to keep working to implement projects to strength the role of social workers
in European organizations. In particular, I would like to implement a project to achieve an
European Covenant against Austerity measures and develop actions under IFSW Europe
and from an European perspective.
IFSW-Europe intrigues me as an organization that strives for social justice and social
development through the promotion of social work; this is very type of vision that had
defined and propelled my career.

Presento ante ustedes mi candidatura para miembro del Comité Ejecutivo de la FITSEuropa y les agradezco su voto.
Desde 2006, represento al Consejo General de Trabajo Social (CGTS) en la FITS-Europa y
colaboro activamente en diferentes iniciativas facilitando talleres, presentando buenas
prácticas, organizando la Reunión de Delegados y desde septiembre de 2015 formo parte
del comité ejecutivo de la región europea, lo que me ha permitido tomar contacto más
profundo aún más con esta estructura.
Como miembro de la ejecutiva me gustaría continuar aportando a la FITS Europa mi
experiencia en el CGTS desde 1989, primero como Secretaria General y actualmente como
Presidenta. Así como mi experiencia trabajando en red, mi capacidad para la resolución de
problemas, planificación estratégica, mi capacidad mediadora y mi actitud positiva frente
a los desafíos. Cuento además con el apoyo del CGTS para presentar esta candidatura y
solventar la barrera idiomática.
Mi proyecto para esta nueva etapa es continuar trabajando para sacar adelante el
programa aprobado ya que supone un gran reto. En especial, me gustaría destacar la gran
participación de esta región en todo tipo de redes europeas como la Comisión europea, la
Plataforma social Europea, ENSACT, EAPN, FRA, EURODIS, EUROCHILD etc.
Además, me gustaría poner en marcha proyectos para que el trabajo social como profesión
tenga una mayor incidencia en las organizaciones europeas, uno de ellos sería la
propuesta del Pacto Europeo del trabajo social contra las medidas de austeridad y
desarrollar las acciones bajo el marco de la FITS y desde la perspectiva europea
FITS-Europa es una organización que lucha por la justicia social y el desarrollo social a
través de la promoción del trabajo social, y este ha sido el tipo de visión que ha definido e
impulsado mi carrera.
Agradezco su consideración y espero poder trabajar juntos para lograr la visión de la FITS
– Europa
