Sebastia Domenech from the local government and Carmelo Paniagua President of the Spanish Federation welcome all countries. Sabatino Aracu, President of FIRS also welcomed all the countries and gave some information about the new FIRS statutes which were voted on by countries at the last general assembly of FIRS. In future countries will have to bid for world championships as requested in these FIRS statutes. The Organizing Committee from Cali – Colombia 2015 did the presentation for the next World Championships and gave some information to the countries about logistics. Margaret Brooks, chairman of CIPA and Nicola Genchi, spoke about the report and the technical changes for 2015 and 2016 (attached). FIRS/CIPA confirmed that it will be an international seminar for judges on April 9th to 12th 2015 in Riccione Italy. More information will be send to the nations who have registered and pay the judges fees for 2015 when it is available. France asked the reason for taking out the combined championship and for the reason to do junior and senior figures on the first two days of the championship. Margaret Brooks explained that combined is a “paper champion” because we do not have a competition for this. The second question about the figures during the first two days was request from FIRS. France explained that it will be too expensive for the countries to keep the senior figure skaters that will do another discipline the following week.
