“The two shall become one”
Father Mark Wagner
In today's Gospel
Jesus
quotes
the
commandment "You
shall
not
commit
adultery" .(Mark 10:19)
In last Sunday's Gospel
Jesus said: "A man shall
leave his father and mother and be
joined to his wife, and the two shall
become one flesh.
So they are no longer two but
one flesh. Therefore what God has
joined together, no human being
must separate.” (Mark 10:4-5). These
words of Jesus remind us of what
has always been and always will be
the teaching of the Catholic Church
regarding marriage.
We know that Pope Francis has
listened to families at the World
Meeting of Families in Philadelphia,
and to the bishops in Rome as they
prepared for the extraordinary synod
on the family. Marriage is the basic
foundation for all families and
without marriage, there is no family.
There is certainly compassion for
those, who for no fault of their own,
experience the pain of divorce.
Perhaps there will be improvements
On Wednesday, October 7, we will
honor Our Lady and the month of
the rosary with an International
Rosary after 5:45pm Mass. The
Cherubim Choir will provide an
“Ave Maria” prelude.
and a streamlining of the long
process of seeking annulment.
Right now it takes over a year for
the Church to study a previous
marriage to discern whether there
was some reason why it was not a
valid marriage from the beginning. If
such reasons can be found and
proven, then the marriage is declared
invalid ("annulled"), and it becomes
possible for such persons to
"remarry.” It is a declaration from the
Church that the first "marriage" was
not a binding sacramental marriage.
However, once a marriage is
validly contracted between a man
and a woman who are both mature
enough and have the right
intentions, then as Jesus says "no
man can separate,” not even the
Pope!
We also have compassion on the
children of divorced parents who
suffer so terribly. The church teaches
that annulment has no affect on
them.
Let us pray for our "Holy Father"
as he leads the great world family
which is the a Catholic Church!
Please return your Annual
Stewardship Renewal Cards,
which are available in the
vestibule of the church

Parish Stewardship — a way of life
Richard Braun
How many times have you seen this
face on the lectern, asking us to
support some ministry effort? Did
he make you laugh? Did he seem
full of joy for our Lord? In most
cases, the answer is … yes! Richard
Braun uses his joy and public
speaking ability to motivate others
in our parish.
A Knights of Columbus Insurance
Field Agent by day, he also serves as
husband to Maria and proud father
of Nicolas (Nico) and Giancarlos.
He has answered God’s call of
stewardship to serve as a
Eucharistic Minister, Lector, Chair
of our Parish Festival, Adult Choir
Member, World Youth Day
Chaperone, and more, along with
being a good and devoted friend to
many.
Most remarkable about Richard is
that he always keeps his joyful focus
on whatever he is doing. He serves
with grace, faith and always with
the attitude that what he has is
God’s and his job is to be a steward
of those gifts. Richard is a member
of our new TMIY Core Team and
invites you to join him in breakfast
and fellowship.:

DEL LAPTOP DEL PÁRROCO, Padre Mark
Los dos no serán sino una
sola carne
Padre Mark Wagner
Queridos feligreses,
nuevo.” Es una declaración de la
Iglesia que el primer “matrimonio” no
fue un matrimonio sacramental
comprometiente. Pero, una vez que
se contrae válidamente un
matrimonio entre un hombre y una
mujer quienes los dos son de
suficiente madurez y tienen las
intenciones correctas, luego, como
dijo Jesús, “ninguno lo puede
separar,” ¡ni siquiera el Papa!
También tenemos compasión por
los hijos de padres divorciados que
padecen terriblemente. La Iglesia
enseña que la anulación no tiene
ningún efecto sobre ellos.
¡Rezamos por nuestro “Santo
Padre” mientras él guía la gran
familia mundial que es la Iglesia
Católica!

Domingo de Respeto por la
Vida
Richard Braun
2da Colecta
4 de octuber del 2015
Su donación para los
esfuerzos de Respeto por la Vida en
nuestra diócesis es esencial para el
ministerio que ofrece:
s Acercamiento a padres
jóvenes y embarazadas;
s Reconciliación y sanación
post-aborto;
s Educación de Planeación
Familiar Natural;
s Apoyo a los comités parroquiales
promoviendo la dignidad
de la vida de todos;
s Educación en cuesƟones
de asuntos de vida.
Gracis!
¡El próximo fin de semana será
nuestro 45 Festival Parroquial
Anual! Estamos llamando a TODOS a
venir para ¡disfrutar de la comida,
convivencia, y diversión
familiar! Todos están llamados y
¡todos están bienvenidos! ¡Compren
sus boletos hoy para las cenas, la
comida, los juegos, y las rifas!
De dia es un agente de seguros
para los Caballeros de Colon. En
nuestra segunda lectura este
domingo, San Pablo dice que les
tenemos que dar la bienvenida a
todos. Él dice que cuando entra un
hombre “pobremente vestido
parroquiales.
Algunos están
l l a m a d o s a s e r c a t e q u i st a s ,

WHY IS IT
A man wakes up after sleeping
under an ADVERTISED blanket
on an ADVERTISED mattress
and pulls off ADVERTISED pajamas
bathes in an ADVERTISED shower
shaves with an ADVERTISED razor
brushes his teeth
with ADVERTISED toothpaste
washes with ADVERTISED soap
puts on ADVERTISED clothes
drinks a cup
of ADVERTISED coffee
drives to work
in an ADVERTISED car
and then . . . .
refuses to ADVERTISE
believing it doesn’t pay.
Later if business is poor
he ADVERTISES it for sale.
