PLAN DE ESTUDIOS Español 1 SEMANA 8/9 (WEEK 8/9) (del 11 de octubre al 15 de octubre) Día 1 LECCIÓN: 5 Objetivos: 1. Content Objective(s): Students will be able demonstrate comprehension of new Spanish vocabulary structures in the context of an oral story about a boy who likes Italian food 2. Language objective(s): Students will create dictionary pages, identify main events in a Spanish story by responding to questions in Spanish Actividades 1. Activity 1: Entrance ticket- Take attendance, read Content and Language objectives to find content words and process words to fill out entrance ticket, and discuss What we are going to learn and How we are going to learn it. By the end of class, I will be able to Identify main events in an oral story in Spanish by responding to questions in Spanish (10 min.) 2. Activity 2: Warm up-Quiz Cinco-Students translate story into English. Students check their translation as it´s reviewed (10 min.) 3. Activity 3: Diccionario Pages 3 & 4-Pass out Diccionario page to each student. Model the spelling of each word or phrase, as well as the definition, a sentence using the word, and a drawing (15 min.) 4. Activity 5: Additional practice with Diccionario pages 3 & 4-Students up cover the left side of the Diccionario page and then they try to put their finger on the picture that matches what I say (5 min.) 5. Activity 6: Introduce new vocab.- Introduce target vocab. above on Word Wall (Flip Chart) using direct translation, creating gestures for each word, PQA (Personalized Questions & Answers) with target vocab, and Total Physical Response with se agarra la cabeza, tira, la pizza, el piso (10 min.) 6. Activity 7: Tell story and Circling with questions- Tell "El muchacho que le gusta la comida italiana" with student actors and food props (30 min) 7. Exit Ticket: Rate your learning on a scale of 1 to 4. Proof: Answer HOTS Question: ¿Por qué Conchetta agarra la pizza de Frank? A Conchetta le … la pizza. Content Objective(s): Students will conference with teacher to review portfolio 2. Language objective(s): Students will defend the quality of their portfolio Actividades 1. Activity 1: Organize Portfolio 2. Activity 2: Portfolio Check (2 Min) 3. Activity 3: Read Pages 32-33 in textbook, Lectura opcional 1 y 2 4. Activity 4: Answer questions on Page 32, ¿Comprendes? Latinoamérica, and 33, ¿Comprendes? Vocabulario/Diccionario N/A Día 3 LECCIÓN: Lectura Objetivos: 1. Content Objective(s): Students will demonstrate comprehension of new Spanish vocab. structures in context while reading a novel in Spanish 2. Language objective(s): Students will finish reading Chapter 1 and begin Chapter 2 of the novel “Pobre Ana”, translate Chapter 1 & 2, and indentify main events in the novel by responding to questions in Spanish Actividades 1. Activity 1: Entrance ticket- Find content and process words for the Content and Language Objectives and copy them in Portfolio. Review What we are doing and What we are learning on a T-Chart. By the end of class, I will be able to translate on sentence from Chapter 1 of “Pobre Ana” (5 min.) 2. Activity 2: Continue reading Chapter 1 and start Chapter 2 of “Pobre Ana” while translating and identify main events in the Chapters by responding to questions in Spanish (30 min) 3. Exit ticket-Students will rate their learning on a scale of 1-4 and translate one sentence from Chapter 1 or 2 (5 min.) Vocabulario/Diccionario N/A
