Learning Together at the
Face Painting
Table
Becoming someone (or something) else,
if only for a little while, is powerful!
Things to do together:
✿ Let your child paint his/her face without
your help, even if it’s messy!
✿ Let your child paint your face (if you dare)!
✿ Make faces in the mirror.
Questions to ask:
✿ “Tell me about your new face.”
✿ “Why did the water turn pink when you
put the crayon in?”
✿ “Can you make a scary face...a sad face...
a happy face?”
Show your child:
✿ How to dip the tip of the crayon in water to
soften it for drawing.
✿ How to use the wipes to remove the face paints.
✿ How to put the crayons in the dry cup when
finished.

Cosas para hacer juntos:
✿ ¡Permita que su hijo se pinte la cara sin
su ayuda aunque él o ella se ensucie!
✿ ¡Deje que su hijo le pinte la cara a Ud.
(si Ud. se atreve)!
✿ Hagan muecas enfrente del espejo.
Preguntas que puede hacer:
✿ “Cuéntame sobre tu nueva cara.”
✿ “¿Por qué el agua cambió al color rosado
cuando metiste el crayón?”
✿ “¿Puedes hacer una cara asustada...un cara
triste...una cara alegre?”
✿ Cómo meter la punta del crayón en agua para
ablandarla para pintar.
✿ Cómo usar toallas humectantes para remover
la pintura de la cara.
✿ Cómo poner los crayones en un recipiente
seco después de haber terminado.
