Politics and Power The authority’s speeches reflected in the exhibition Global Warming of an interactive museum Alejandra Jaramillo-Vázquez * Abstract: In this article, I examine the temporary exhibition of Global Warming from an anthropological perspective. The objective is to reflect the construction of authority or hegemonic discourses done by the museum, which are socialized via exhibitions and the participation of guides. Through the theoretical perspective of Gramsci about the concept of hegemony, I examine the temporary exhibition and the role of guides as constructors of authority discourses as well. Key words: hegemony, museums, climatic changes, exhibitions, guides. * aleta@iteso.mx Iberofórum. Revista de Ciencias Sociales de la Universidad Iberoamericana. Año V, No 9. Enero-Junio 2010.
