Voices and Contexts The treatment of the dignity and human cloning in the Argentinean Law system Santiago Gabriel Calise1 Abstract: The following paper deals with the relation between human dignity and human cloning, in the Argentinean law system. It is not a local particularity, but an international tendency, to resort to human dignity in order to prohibit human cloning, both in its therapeutic and its reproductive form. The aim here is to observe if this relationship is really useful to argue for a prohibition of this practice. So to find out this statement, juridical doctrine texts will be analyzed, at the same time that jurisprudence will be studied in order to ascertain how human dignity concept was utilized. In this way, it will be possible to establish if that category can found a prohibition.
